Juice & Java in Miami FL

A little restaurant that we stumbled upon while hanging out in Miami.  They had amazing fresh, organic, and  breakfast food.

Leah's Chese Tortellini Tomato Soup

Lisa's favorite dish these days!: diced tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil, red chili flakes, greek yogurt for the creaminess, and tortellinis.

Caprese Salad Garlic bread on the Grill: Snowpocalypse Survival Meal for Andy

Andy was out of power for 2 days straight.  But that doesn't stop him from making a mean meal for himself and his wife.  Here is his take on a caprese salad garlic bread on his outdoor grill.  The pictures qualities are as such due to the lack of electricity and proper lighting.

He first grilled the bread with garlic butter and mozzarella, then added the tomatoes, basil, and balsamic vinegar.

Cribbs Kitchen: Spartanburg, SC - One of South Carolina's Hidden Gems, especially for Broke College Students

Cribbs Kitchen in Spartanburg SC is one of the best restaurant's I've been to in the south.  Although it is located in a seemingly quiet and less hip southern town, the restaurant does not fail to put out a modern menu and extensive beer options.  On Saturdays, the restaurant graciously provide a 1/2 menu for faculty and students with a proper student ID.

Pear Salad

Mixed greens, caramelized asian pears, roasted red peppers, pickled red onions, candied pecans, goat cheese served with champagne tarragon vinaigrette

Cribbs Club: Turkey, ham, Swiss, apple wood smoked bacon, Rocker's Stout mustard, roasted tomato, grilled sourdough

Pho Bistro 2: Honolulu Hawaii

Although hawaii is a melting pot of people from all over the world, they have a number of very good vietnamese restaurants that reigns over other cuisines.  This is "Pho Bistro 2", one of the best  hole-in-the-wall restaurants in Honolulu.  I got my dish: Vermicelli with Grilled Pork (Bun Thit Nuang) to go after a long day of snorkeling and surf watching at north shore.  Probably the best Bun I've ever had.

Butterhead Greens, Cafe: Savannah GA: One of SCAD's favorite munching spots

After completing 3 free yoga classes, Derrick, Sarah and I decided to check out this local favorite.  It is a restaurant right across from one of SCAD's campuses so it is usually packed with students.  We caught it at a less busier times.  They are known for their affordable and delicious salads and creative sandwiches.

My patriotic "The Banh Mi So Hungry" (cold sandwich) - their take on the classic Vietnamese sandwich that combines glazed chicken, with cucumbers, lettuce, picked onions, and cilantro with lime juice and toasted garlic!   It was absolutely fantastic, especially after a long yoga session.

Steamed Mussells with Garlic and Chardonnay Reduction by Andy Hall

It is like watching a line-backer petting a kitten.  But Andy Hall cooks up another great meal.
